Eau Resources commenced operation in the San Juan Basin in New Mexico, in December 2018 during one of the coldest spells ever in the region.
To our knowledge, other drilling companies had to shut down due to the inclement weather. The entire Eau Resources crew demonstrated resolve and professionalism to stay active and treat the extreme variety of fluids the client was able to bring to Eau Resources.
During the initial four weeks of operations, a daily rate of 14,000 barrels of water treatment was achieved.
The process also achieved comparable results in recovering oil from flowback and production water as well as tank sludge previously intended for disposal. The OXI-PEF process was able to recover approximately 3000 bbls of oil in 4 days to sellable quality, while still processing the frac flowback water for reuse.
As opposed to hauling this oil/sludge to disposal for a very expensive treatment process to clean the oil, the separated, clean oil was drawn from the continuous process and placed into storage tanks for transfer.
This project provided the customer with fully treated water from extremely contaminated influent content and adverse weather situations and provided Eau Resources with verification of the OXI-PEF process being able to control scenarios well outside the capability of its competitors.
